At 1200 PM CST (1800 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Rachel was located near latitude 14.0 North, longitude 101.5 West. Rachel is moving toward the west-northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h). A continued west-northwestward motion at a faster forward speed are expected for the next few days. On the forecast track, the center of Rachel is expected to move parallel to, but stay offshore of, the coast of southwestern Mexico.
